What Vesper is, what it isn't, and the things we'd want to know before joining.

Vesper connects Vesper members, and nobody else.

Vesper connects Vesper numbers only. It can't call other networks or landlines, and it can't make emergency calls. Keep your normal phone for 999.

What's a Natter?
Our plansNatters are Vesper's monthly contracts: a bundle of minutes and messages for calls, video and chat with anyone on Vesper. There are three, Little, Proper and Endless, so you only pay for the chatting you actually do.
Can I change my Natter?
Any timeMove up to a bigger Natter whenever you like and it starts straight away. Moving down, or ending your plan, takes effect at the end of your month.
What if I use up my allowance?
You stay connectedNothing gets cut off. Extra minutes are 5p and extra messages 4p, and they appear on your next bill. If it keeps happening, a bigger Natter will work out cheaper.
How does pay as you go work?
No contractTop up your balance and pay 5p a minute for calls and video and 4p a message. There's no monthly bill and your Vesper number is included.
Who can I call and message?
Vesper onlyAnyone with a Vesper number. Vesper connects Vesper members to each other only. It can't call or text numbers on other networks, and it can't call landlines. Your friends can join and pick their own number.
Can I call 999 or 112?
NoVesper cannot make emergency calls. Always use your normal phone for 999 or 112.
What do I need to use Vesper?
Just the basicsA phone, tablet or computer with Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G, and the free WireGuard app, which gives your device its own private, encrypted connection to Vesper. Scan your personal Vesper code, approve it once, and you're on. Over 4G or 5G, Vesper uses data from your existing mobile plan.
Can Vesper read my messages?
NoMessages are end-to-end encrypted. They're locked on the sender's device and unlocked only on the recipient's, so we can't read them.
How do I sign in?
With your email and password. When you join we confirm your email with a 6-digit code, and if you forget your password we'll send a code to reset it. For extra protection, add an authenticator app for two-step sign-in from your account.
